Late Night

Welcome to honesty. This is my blog and no longer will I sensor it. Consider this far warning to any real-life people-DH! Now that we have that disclaimer out of the way...

Late in the evening is my least favorite part of the day. It doesn't matter the day, whether I've worked or not, or whether DH has been home or not. Back when we were dating, DH was a light sleeper. He wouldn't be able to sleep longer than 4 or 5 hours and would wake when I rolled over in bed. We could stay up till the early morning just talking. He could stay up late, wake up early and still have energy to do it again the next night. Those days are in the past. So I am left by myself from roughly 10 on each evening. I'm pretty lonely. I would just lay down and go to sleep myself but I have to stay up for another pumping session. I find myself wishing I had the determination, energy and know how to teach the girls to nurse again. I'm sick of all this pumping for such little milk. Picking up this extra shift has really hurt my supply but I really want the girls to get as much BM as possible.

I've tried to do stuff around the house but it's to quiet and eerie. I get a little jumpy and go sit in bed. I surf the net and have recently started watching the shows DH would never dare let air on his tv! Tonight I'm watching Blood, Sweat and Takeaway. It's a great distraction from NOT having a night time snack. That's right, no snack tonight. I'm dying without it too. This morning was the official re-start of our quazi-diet-eating-better-defating project. I'm not big on dieting, I love food and this time I need to buckle down. DH was amazing this morning, he planned our entire morning out to the minute. He had bottles ready this morning, made us breakfast, cleaned up, we put the girls down for their morning nap and than he ushered us down to the family room to jump on Wii. I was proud that I selected a medium-intensity work out and finished it. I was disappointed that right before I finished I feel over, out of breath, flopping like a fish. The most breath-taking moment of our morning work out session was weigh ourselves. It has been 88 days since I last weighted myself. In those 88 days I've gained 8 lbs. Do you know how much I weigh?

Take this...

and ADD about 5 lbs! This was 32 weeks.

Yikes!

133 lbs. if I remember correctly, maybe it was 134. Did I mention I got down to around 110 after the girls were born? YEAH, I stay home and eat. That's a bad thing. But I can't take responsibility for my fatness, and I can't blame my metabolism for stabbing me in the back. Let's blame Emma and Claire. I'm sure they grabbed my metabolism for themselves on their way out! Here's to fewer cookies and longer walks!

Oh, and a bedroom color has been decided! Yay!
It's by behr, it's called heather plume UL250-7 if you're curious. You should check it out, DH picked it and I think I'm overly excited. Now I just have to patch the plaster in some places, yes plaster not drywall because my house is hella old, and off to paint! This new paint is paint+primer so hopefully one coat and done but I know nothing is ever that easy! Oh look, I can pump and go to bed! Good night all.

Big Girls Weekend

It was without pomp and ceremony that the seats were installed on the stroller today. We've ditched using the car seats and went head on for strapping them into the proper stroller seats. Crazy right?

Well "we" didn't, DH did. Seeing my little babies in their "big girl" seats was a little heart breaking I will admit. I was all into putting the seats on as they are starting to out grow their car seats, but seeing these tiny babies in these huge seats reminded me that they're aren't as big as I like to think sometimes. Did I mention the he WALKED up to work to show me the stroller? As he WALK from our HOUSE to my STORE? Yeah, way to make me look like a fat ass, thanks! According to the internet it's just over 4 miles. So I guess it's time to take my big girl pill and start getting my arse in motion. I'm setting my goals a little lower though. Monday I'll be walking to the post office. This is of course if the weather is warm enough, it's not raining, and I can't think of any other excuse. I am probably going to have to go into the side entrance and wait till some weird hour to avoid the old people.

This weekend has been rather nice. I wish I didn't have to work so I could enjoy the nicer weather with the fam. Did I mention the nice weather? It's nearly 50 degrees! Did I tell you there is STILL snow in the yard? Granted it has almost completely melted but it's still there, reminding me the Phil saw his shadow and that a freak storm could cripple the county at any time. Ugh. Tomorrow is suppose to be beautiful and I am jealous DH will be home with the girls. :(

Hopefully we'll decide on a bedroom color tonight before cookies and bed. I want to hear everyone's opinion because I don't know what I want in a bedroom, I just know that I don't want this green anymore! It's a total downer now. Bedrest made me hate my house!

Getting To Know YOU

I'm sooooo #94 on MannLand5 today! You should play along too!

The questions..

1. Would you rather bungee jump or sky dive?
2. When using a public restroom to you squat over the seat or sit?
3. Favorite flower?
4. Pedicure or manicure?
5. How many siblings do you have?
6. Do you pee in the shower? (gasp!)
7. Bikini, tankini, or one piece?
8. Where do you hate to shop at, but go there anyway?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Would you rather bungee jump or sky dive?

If I have to choose, I'll go bungee jumping because it's never the fall that gets you!

2. When using a public restroom to you squat over the seat or sit?
It really depends on the place. I used to be a squatter everywhere, but since the babies came along sometimes I get need those few seconds of rest. My tired old knees can't take it anymore!

3. Favorite flower?

I L-O-V-E some gerbera daisies! I did such a good job on the SIL's cake! I'm still proud I pulled that off!

4. Pedicure or manicure?

Pedi all the way!
My feet are crusty. In a tom-boy, never wear shoes kinda way.

5. How many siblings do you have?

One, terrible, horrible, no good, very bad sister.

6. Do you pee in the shower? (gasp!)

Everyday!

7. Bikini, tankini, or one piece?

Right now, no-kini. I need to go shopping. I have always rocked the bikini, even hugely pregnant. But post pregnancy the tummy is nothing to be showing off. Did I mention I'm restarting my work out/diet/not be a fatty program tomorrow?

Let's hope for a not too mom-ish swim suit!

8. Where do you hate to shop at, but go there anyway?

The grocery store! I work there and hate going in. I always get stuck chatting and everyone wants to see the babies. Then the customers join in, such a pain!

My last day as a free woman....tomorrow morning I will start a less cookie-ful lifestyle. I will be more active and hopefully tighten, tone, and de-fat my tummy and thighs. I think I will take some before shots in an effort to see the progress I am making. I've never had to do this before, don't hate me. This is going to suck. Why did my metabolism turn its back on me? We were suppose to be together forever!

Longest Diaper Change EVER

For Claire that is. After her morning feed I went in with the intent for a quick change. Diaper off-cue the pee. Lovely. So That diaper is now wet and I use it to mop up the remains. She peed up onto herself and it dripped down onto her sleeper so a change of clothes were in order. I reach over and get new clothes, pop my head out the door and yell down to Emma that we'll be right back. Not that she really cares but it's nice to talk to someone during the day! By the time I get back to dear Claire she has spit up on the clean clothes sitting next to her! GREAT! So I reach over for another set of clothes and come back to ANOTHER FOUNTAIN OF PEE! So with new clothes in hand I grab a new diaper and cover, throw Claire over my shoulder and trudge over to the crib to clean her and put a diaper on as fast as I can. Then I proceed to start dressing her and CATCH her spitting up. I rolled her over to save her clothes but get the crib sheets dirty in the process. Changing one diaper just made a load of laundry!

Hopefully this isn't a sign of my day to come. I need to get this house together before we leave for the shore. So much laundry to be done, and I have to make sure I wash the new clothes the girls got from one of DH's co-workers. I think they'll wear them one of the days in hopes to get that family picture I've been wanting. Of course ACMOORE is having a killer sale and all I want to do is shop today! Especially since the techno coming from next door is aggravating me to no end. It's bad enough I have to hear you bitching about money till 2 a.m. - they are the most unhappy couple ever. The fight over ever dime and now with him being unemployed their arguments are escalating. But shouldn't he be catching up on sleep at 9 a.m. and not blasting this techno crap?

After our mini vacation I fully intend to make regular use of the wii Fit. I really need to. This flub is not working for me and I think it's been long enough now that my dream of it all melting away on it's own isn't going to come true. I just hope the girls will cooperate because I'd really like to do it in the morning so we can spend time together as a family when DH is home. I've set my goal not at a weight limit because those numbers really don't matter, but at a giggle level. I've never in my life been able to grab a chunk of skin from my belly and I'd like to get back to that. I will settle for something smooth and moderately toned. Or anything that doesn't scream I just had babies! I'd like to fit into 5/6 instead of the 7/8 being loose. I just hope I don't get to sore. I was doing some lifting at work and I could feel the burn and my lower tummy around my scar was sore for a day or two. Fingers cross!!

Ok, time to finally start my day. Sitting in this bed with sleeping dogs and sleeping babies is just putting me back to sleep! Off to start the laundry and my pot roast!!
